Ice Kings are bosses that can be spawned once 5,000 ice has been sold at the Ice Wizard's, Mountain Hiker's, or Cave Expert's ice piles. Once a boss is spawned, all players will be notified where it spawned, how much health it has and the rewards for defeating it.
Each vendor is locked out during the battle and unable to purchase the player's ice until the boss is defeated.
The Ice King fires a blue beam that explodes into ice shards towards nearby players, damaging them. This attack can only be dodged if the player is a safe distance away. It is recommended to ride away on a Snowmobile in order to dodge this attack. This attack also drains the amount of ice in a player's backpack.
The Ice King spawns a blue ice ball atop the player. This attack deals a lot of damage, but is easier to dodge if the player is moving.
Ice Wizard's Ice Pile
The Ice Wizard's Ice Pile offers an open battle arena on the same level. Spawning near the Wizard, the Ice King is flanked by the central ice lake and the speed ramp up to the top. To prevent falling off, it's often beneficial to lure them into the center.
The main advantage of this spawn pile is the open, level arena allows players to utilize their Snowmobiles to perform hit-and-run attacks while still mounted. This method allows consistent damage with the speed to quickly evade the boss's attacks.
Mountain Hiker's Ice Pile
The Mountain Hiker's ice pile offers more difficulty. Spawning behind the Hiker, the ice king is surrounded by cliffs, a drop-off, and the main mountain path on each side respectively. The more closed arena provides more difficulty seeing and evading attacks.
The Mountain Hiker's arena is not easily accessible to Snowmobiles due to there being a cliff; in order to get atop the cliff, the player must reset their Snowmobile and drift onto the arena. If a player wishes to use the hit-and-run method similar to the Ice Wizard boss, they must lure the boss away from their spawn onto the main path.
Cave Expert's Ice Pile
The Cave Expert's Ice Pile offers a level arena dotted with trees. Players need to be careful to not get their Snowmobiles stuck while fighting there. With access to the Ice Crystal Cave giving players two times the ice collection, it is easy to accumulate ice and sell it to the Cave Expert in order to spawn bosses quickly.
Once an Ice King is defeated, all players who participated in the battle will get a notification of how much percent damage they dealt to the boss and their money and ice rewards based on that percentage, as well as one kill added to their boss kill count. Players who have not killed a boss before will receive the Your First Ice Boss badge.
Killing 100 Ice Kings will let you equip the Ice King pack for free in the Ice mountain backpack shop, it holds 5,000 ice.
